Expert Handling Guidelines for Lightweight Paper

Lightweight sublimation rolls (especially 29gsm to 42gsm) are highly sensitive to environmental tension and moisture. To prevent web breaks and head strikes during high-speed printing, please follow our factory engineering guidelines:

• Tension Control: Adjust your printer's feeding and take-up tension systems to a lower setting compared to 90gsm+ paper. Excessive tension will cause ultra-light paper to tear.
• Environmental Acclimatization: The printing environment must be strictly maintained at 20°C-25°C with 45%-60% RH. Allow the jumbo rolls to sit in the printing room for at least 24 hours before unsealing to balance moisture.
• Ink Limit Configuration: Ensure your RIP software is configured for a light-to-medium ink limit profile. Heavy ink saturation on 29gsm paper will cause extreme cockling (wrinkling) and ruin the transfer.
